Harvard Summer Programs and Grants

  • PRISE: Program for Research in Science and Engineering. Ten-week residential summer research program in science and engineering. All Harvard students invited to apply. Fellows find own mentors and pick own projects.

  • BLISS: Behavioral Laboratory in the Social Sciences. Ten-week residential summer research program in the social sciences. All Harvard students invited to apply. Fellows take pre-designated research projects.

  • PRIMO: Program for Research in Markets and Organizations. Ten-week residential summer research program in business and related fields. All Harvard students invited to apply. Fellows take pre-designated research projects.

  • SHARP: Summer Humanities and Arts Research Program. Ten-week residential summer research program in the humanities and arts. All Harvard students invited to apply. Fellows take pre-designated research projects with faculty and in Harvard-affiliated museums and libraries.

  • Herchel Smith: Generous grant award for Harvard undergraduates working in the sciences and engineering. Can be used anywhere in the world for a substantive program of research.

  • HCRP: Harvard College Research Program. Grant award for Harvard undergraduates working in any field. Can be used anywhere in the world for a substantive program of research. Awards available for school year in addition to summer.

 

Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (URAF) is Harvard's central administrator and resource for undergraduate research. It runs Harvard's summer research programs and distributes most of its undergraduate research grants.
