How do I apply?
Under the tab NCRC 2012, please select "Register" and follow the instructions. Or, simply click here!
How do I qualify?
All currently enrolled undergraduates, regardless of institution, are eligible to participate. All undergraduates are given the opportunity to submit an abstract for printing in the conference proceedings as well as the space to present a poster during the Poster Session.
How much will this cost?
The regular registration for non-Harvard participants is $40. Registration for Harvard students is $15. Harvard students who agree to host a NCRC participant have the opportunity to receive a reimbursement of their registration fee.
How can I present a poster?
Submit an abstract when you apply and you will be entered to present a poster during NCRC 2012.
What is the procedure for free poster printing?
Our advisors at Harvard have graciously offered large-format printing for all NCRC participants who would like to present a poster. Please send your poster (in PDF format) to posters@hcura.org before January 7, 2012. Please note that your PDF file must be of appropriate resolution of 42"x38". Your poster will be available for pickup on the first day of NCRC. The pickup location and procedure will be updated as we near the conference date.
How do I become a plenary presenter?
When you apply for NCRC, please check the box indicating that you would like to be considered for a plenary presentation. Plenary presentations will be short fifteen minute talks by undergraduates and occur on January 20, 2:00-4:30 PM. We will notify you via email by December 15 of the decision.
Please note that you must register before the Advanced Registration Deadline on November 15, 2011 in order to be considered.
I am not from the Boston area, what accomodations are there for travel?
A limited number of travel scholarships are available for those outside of the Boston metropolitan area. To be considered for a travel scholarship, you must register before the Advanced Registration Deadline on November 15, 2011. We reserve our scholarship funds only for those interested in giving an oral presentation, so simply check the box indicating that you would be interested in presenting at a plenary session and you will be automatically considered for a travel scholarship. We will notify you of your status regarding the travel scholarship in early December.
Housing will be guaranteed for the duration of the conference only, on the evening of January 19 and January 20. Students outside of the Boston metropolitan area will be hosted by a Harvard student.
I am a Harvard student who wishes to host an NCRC participant. How does the registration fee reimbursement work?
All Harvard students who participate in NCRC 2012 will have the option of hosting a non-Harvard participant. Please be sure to leave your Harvard email address (@fas or @college). We will be contacting you through your Harvard email for all matters regarding hosting. All Harvard student hosts will receive a check reimbursing the cost of registration at NCRC.
How do I cancel my registration?
Please email tech@hcura.org for cancellation. Please allow up to five days for processing.
How do I cancel payment?
Should you cancel your registration due to a change in plans, please note the following refund scheme:
Please note that all refunds are final and release your reservation for a spot at the conference; if you elect to re-register after having cancelled, you will only be allowed to do so if there is still space available.
